The Appalachian Trail- (D.14, 11.5mi)

Day 14 (Cold Spring Shelter -> Nantahala Outdoor Center) (137.1 mi total)

We woke up today again covered in a fog that left us in a sluggish mood.  However, we knew that the end of our day would leave us in civilization and for Matt would be his celebration for the end of his 5 day trip.  We maintained a determined pace and ended up getting into Nantahala around 2 p.m.  We quickly payed for our bunk room and showered up so we could meet Matt for some much needed munch and drink.  Of course it couldn't be that simple, so why not through in a rain storm on our walk to the restaurant.  We spent the rest of the day enjoying the company of Matt and his family and some delicious trail magic in the form of a delicious pizza that Matt purchased for us!
Finally, out of the woods and into some clean clothes and into a gross bunk room.
Trail Magic (bottom right), thanks to Matt and his wife and Wyatt!  Sad to see you go, you got quite a hike up after Nantahala ha.
Jax scaring all the locals away all while playing cards with Brasky.

Our homely abode, Jax did have the idea to double stack mattresses...which we did.
