The Appalachian Trail- (D.11, 14.4 mi)

Day 11 (Standing Indian Shelter -> Big Spring Shelter) (14.4 mi, 100.7 mi total)

After ending the day yesterday with good mileage we wanted to maintain the momentum and push out another big day.  We had read out of the previous shelter journals that the terrain coming up would be advantageous for making good miles and plentiful with water sources so we were definitely pumped.  What they didn't inform us of was that the last mile of the day would leave us abandoning our newly found hiking skills and trying to remember our climbing skills.  The views paid off however and left us cramped once again in a shelter playing Egyptian Rat Screw with some new friends.
We lost Brasky on this trail for hours.....
Ed showing off his bouldering skills on Albert Mtn.
Me taking over the modeling and showing off the view from the Albert Mtn tower.
The shelter was made for maybe 6 people, we packed it out with 11 or so.

Ed cropdusting little Daniel, ....he'll never know.
