The Appalachian Trail- (D. 19, 17.5 mi)

Day 19 (Mollies Ridge Shelter -> Silers Bald Shelter) (194.3 mi total)

Clay and Jim thought it would be funny to set a mouse trap they bought for 25 cents throughout the night.....ended up being pretty enlightening on how many mice we have crawling on us at night ha.

Another inspiring morning filled with soggy britches and even soggier attitudes.

Me trying to re-awaken the crew with a smile.....you know how I got these scars?

Cool scene on top of one of the balds, the weather finally cleared up a wee bit.

Rocky Top!!!

Current High School heroes, Clay and Jim.  Thanks for the couple days of hiking companionship.  Don't worry I told them that this photo would never leave my basement....it comes off creepy taking as many photos as I do ha.
It only took one morning of us putting on freezing cold/soaked clothes to realize that we wanted to get out of the Smokies a little quicker than originally imagined.  So, we decided to walk a little past our proposed 13 mile day and push it for the next shelter in hopes of getting just a little closer to salvation from the dampness of the Smokies.  We did get to hike through Rocky Top which was extremely cool seeing as how we are all UT alumnus.
