The Appalachian Trail- (D. 9, 4.5mi)

Day 9 (Hiawassee, GA -> Plumorchard Gap Shelter) (74.1mi total)
Hia,
We finally made it to another library this time in Franklin, NC.  The Macon County Library was nice enough to let us in for computer use despite our smell and hobo'esque attire.  After spending as much time eating as possible in Hiawassee, and Ed getting his last and final Blizzard we decided to take our try at hitch-hiking.  Surely enough our charming looks landed us a ride from a fellow hiker whom took us back to the trail head at Dicks Creek Gap.  After getting stuck in the storm the first time we decided that hiking to shelters (protection) would be a smart idea seeing as how the forecast looked pretty glum for the week.  We pulled the day early and let our food settle at the Plumorchard Gap where we got to hang out with Matt and Joshua and learn how to play 3 person hearts.

Ed flaggin' us down a ride, Hitchhiking!

Mystery Man and companion were nice enough to give us a ride back to the trail (11 mi)

Matt and Joshua, our companions for the potential storm.

We got pretty close pretty quick due to the threatening storm ha.
