The Appalchian Trail- (D. 46, 11.5 mi)

(Marion, Va --> Atkins, Va Motel)  (542.2 mi total)

So, today was to be my first day really hiking with just me, myself, and Abby.  Needless to say, I was a little perturbed by Abby's insensitivity.  However, I had a good hike and walked by a settler's museum that was only about a half mile off the trail.....I just had to stop.  Ha, I spent a good hour touring around the museum and then continued my hike through the open country of Virginia.  I spent the night in a motel (The Relax Inn) due to a threatening storm.  I had originally meant to do more miles, but got a little nervous.  I got caught in a conversation with a hobo (he thought I was one of them), can't really blame him though, I kind of have the look of a hobo right now and was sitting on the side of the road laying down ha.
Little different back then,  I imagine it was a little hard to cut-up in this class room.  Their is a picture of my mom in highschool wearing a dunce hat that I saw once, for some reason I couldn't get that out of my head.  It was trippin' me out ha.

Back where I come from.

Still standing, as is public education.... America, we good.

The trail isn't all walking through spider web's and overgrown vegetation.  Sometimes it's walking on boardwalk's through overgrown vegetation.

Really cool farm land I walked through, these are set up to avoid dealing with barb-wire fences so the cattle won't get crazy.

Feels like I'm back in Georgia with all these up's and down's but beautiful pay-offs.
