The Appalachian Trail- (D. 44, 20.0 mi)

(Wise Shelter --> Trimpi Shelter) (520.0 mi total)

Today we had around 20 or so miles to get to Trimpi Shelter where we would be staying the evening on our way into Marion, Va.  The walk was nice but pretty desolate in terms of water sources so we were lucky to run into the trail magic that we did.  We stayed at around 4000 ft elevation today with little variance in terms of elevation change so overall it was a pretty enjoyable hike.

Trail magic always seems to happen when you need it most.....we were running low on water for sure.

Michael just couldn't get steak off his mind....nearly had to tackle him so he wouldn't tackle this cow.

Fake trail magic....we opened the containers to find empty beer cans, candy bars, etc.  Little upsetting but we appreciate that people take time to do these things, it really helps the motivation.

Cannot wait to get back and do some fishing with the brother.... been passing these beautiful small trout streams about everyday since I entered Va.
