The Appalachian Trail- (D.58, 18.4 mi)

(Daleville, Va --> Bobblets Gap Shelter) (741.0 mi total)

So, today was another day spent leaving a hiking partner and hitting the road by the lonesome.  I wanted to get a long day in, hoping to run into one of the many hikers ahead of me.  I didn't take too many photos but I did manage to see the biggest Rattle Snake so far......hate em'.  The end of the day I ran into a hiker that I had been behind for about a month now named Achilles.  He was an older man of about 40 and had recently sold his parcel company in Atlanta.  After I told him I majored in Logistics we had a brief conversation about how is company was unique.  He utilized the subway system and had "rail-runners" as he called them for same day deliveries....while other companies might be stuck in downtown traffic.  Unfortunately, his father was ill and he was contemplating getting off the trail in order to go help with that.  We did manage to get a long with great conversation well into the night and then finally we hit the sack.

Thunder Ridge!!!!

Big A$$ Rattle Snake....about 5-6 ft.  Crazy coloration and a light rattle....scary.

Seeing is Believing.....well said.
